Growing up in Virginia, my father would get a whole country ham every Christmas season that we’d enjoy well into the new year, and I’m happy to carry on that same tradition with a Benton’s. Because it’s naturally cured, aged, and smoked, the flavor impresses as more organic and nuanced compared to anything you’ll find at a local supermarket. It really shines in a homemade biscuit or does great on its own, especially when paired with some red-eye gravy. It truly is one of the finest country hams made at any price point.
