Growing up in Atlanta, we were not exposed to country ham. First learned about Benton's Bacon, and it was so good I wanted to try cooking a whole country ham for my birthday, roaring success. Benton's doesn't include baking instructions since many may not want to go through the prep necessary to provide a good experience, fear not a cursory internet search confirms it is perfectly traditional. Just like prepping (thawing) a thanksgiving turkey a few days in advance, prepping (soaking) ham for 24-48 hrs with regular water exchanges draws the salt out. Bake at 325 to internal temp of 155-160, then glaze. Results are way better than any honey baked competitor. Smoky, Sweet, Savory, Salty, Umami deliciousness. Detailed Methods are easy to find, I like Fork and Ember's country ham on Youtube
