5 of 5 Country Ham converts Tuesday, October 20, 2026
Reviewer: Bryan from Woodstock, GA
Growing up in Atlanta, we were not exposed to country ham. First learned about Benton's Bacon, and it was so good I wanted to try cooking a whole country ham for my birthday, roaring success. Benton's doesn't include baking instructions since many may not want to go through the prep necessary to provide a good experience, fear not a cursory internet search confirms it is perfectly traditional. Just like prepping (thawing) a thanksgiving turkey a few days in advance, prepping (soaking) ham for 24-48 hrs with regular water exchanges draws the salt out. Bake at 325 to internal temp of 155-160, then glaze. Results are way better than any honey baked competitor. Smoky, Sweet, Savory, Salty, Umami deliciousness. Detailed Methods are easy to find, I like Fork and Ember's country ham on Youtube

5 of 5 23 Pound ham Monday, April 6, 2026
Reviewer: Cynthia L Geddes from Madisonville, Tennessee
We ordered one for our Easter Sunday brunch and Dinner. It was a hit!! We have a significantly large family. This ham feed all of us for two meals on Sunday.  Best ham, We have ever had, hands down! The people at Bentons were so helpful in the purchase and preparation instructions for our feast. We are so grateful. If you want something that's the star of your next holiday.  This ham is a go too. We will definitely be ordering more products from them again in the future.  Thanks Bentons for the best ham we have ever tasted and making our Resurrection day this year, very memorable.

5 of 5 Benton's Bacon Thursday, January 1, 2026
Reviewer: Charles Dancy from Rosedale, Md.
I love bacon and Benton's Bacon is the best I've ever eaten. The hickory smoked flavor is second to none! I can very well understand why many restaurants serve this bacon to their customers.

5 of 5 An American Icon Wednesday, October 16, 2024
Reviewer: Nick S from Hackensack, NJ
This ham stands among the greats. There's prosciutto, jamon, jambon de Bayonne, and every other great cured and aged ham. This ham stands among them in it's own unique and amazing way. Hickory smoked and 100% American. Expect a salty, smoky, fatty and rich flavor. Benton's has won me over with their tremendously delicious ham. I'll be back for another next year.

5 of 5 Pretty Darn Delicious Monday, April 1, 2024
Reviewer: PF from Arlington, VA
While I'm sure you could eat this as prosciutto and it would be delicious, we prefer to cook it as a good ol' country ham. Our tried and true is to soak it overnight (day 1), drain it and let rest for a day (day2) to let the salt redistribute, then cook low and slow (300 degrees at 14-16 min/lb to ~ 145-150 degrees) , glaze however you wish (we use Edna Lewis' Madeira glaze), and then let rest 20-30 min before we serve (day 3). It is absolutely delicious.  Yep, it's salty, but myohmy, hands down the best.
